RPA Showcase 2023 - 2024
Thank you to all who attended our RPA Showcase to show support for our students. The event was a significant success, and we are extremely proud of the achievements of our learners!
Students at RPA shared what they had learned through their Interest Driven Project, Guided Interest Driven Project, and/or Senior English Project.
Interest Driven Projects
This semester, students were able to choose a topic that they were interested in. From there, they decided what type of real-world learning connection they would make (ex. job shadowing, experts, etc.) as well as researching the topic. Their showcases were about what they accomplished for the semester.
Guided IDP Design Labs
During the Spring semester for Guided Interest Driven Projects, students went through 6 different units that focused on the Portrait of a Ray-Pec Graduate. Their showcases reflected an activity that they did during one of those units, an interest of their own, real-world learning trips, school event, and/or Crash Labs.
Senior English Projects
Students in Mrs. Ramirez English 4 class focused on building skills of a global citizen by serving others. Students volunteered at Harvesters 5 times throughout the semester, helped package CAN bags for in district students, and went through the Design Thinking Process which included proposing an idea for a pantry at RPA for students in need.
