Background:

Ms. Bailey attended Truman State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in English and master's degree in Education.  She is also a certified Library Media Specialist. 

Before joining the SMS Team, Ms. Bailey taught ELA at Lee's Summit West High School, taught ELA on a military base in Germany, and was the Library Media Specialist at Bridle Ridge Elementary.

Fun Facts:

• Ms. Bailey started the Grab & Go Library through USO Stuttgart.  This program handed out over 700 free books to members of the military community and their families. 

• She was also a scuba diver for the Lee's Summit Underwater Rescue and Recovery team. 

• Ms. Bailey can carve a peacock sculpture out of a watermelon.

Ms. Marvin

Library Media Specialist Assistant

Background:

Mrs. Marvin attended University of Central Missouri where she earned her bachelor's degree in Marketing. 

Before joining the SMS Team, she worked for a pharmaceutical company coordinating their trade show program and traveling. After leaving to stay home with her kiddo, she became the library assistant at Eagle Glen Elementary and loves talking to kiddos about books.

Fun Facts:

• Mrs. Marvin volunteers for a local dog rescue helping out with their fundraising and events. Dogs and cats are both her favorite.

• She loves Halloween…a lot!

• Mrs. Marvin also loves to go to movies . . . seeing a new one every week!
