Polar Plunge Graphic

Polar Plunge

High School Teacher Jeff Moore is sending out his annual appeal for Polar Plungers! The Polar Plunge takes place on Saturday, Jan. 25, at Longview Lake, and money raised will benefit Special Olympics - Missouri. This is Mr. Moore’s 30th year in the District and his last year to coordinate the Ray-Pec Polar Plunge. In past years, the Ray-Pec School District had around 100 staff and students participate in the plunge - including staff members from every building in the district. During a couple of those years, the district raised over $25,000! Since the pandemic, the number of participants has dropped, along with the funds raised. Mr. Moore is hoping to increase Ray-Pec’s participation again this year! He asks that if you:

1. Have thought about doing the plunge, but have never actually done it - join us.

2. Have plunged and thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread - join us

3. Have plunged and thought it was insanely cold and hated it, but you are willing to take pity on an old man - join us.

4. Have an addiction to adrenaline and want to try something new - join us.

5. Have wanted to get a free shirt, food and fun - join us.

Instructions to join the Diving Panthers.

If you are not a plunger, please consider donating to one of the individuals listed. Thanks from Jeff Moore!
