The Raymore Peculiar High School Fine Arts Department is pleased to announce its upcoming production of the musical comedy, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a hilarious musical comedy set at a fictional spelling bee in Putnam County. It follows the hopes and life lessons learned by a group of spellers and the adult administrators during the bee. Adding to the fun, a group of four guest spellers from the audience will get to compete each night.
With an inventive, improvisational script and memorable music, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has delighted audiences since it first premiered. Running on Broadway for over 1100 performances, the Ray-Pec theatre department looks forward to bringing this hit to the community.
The cast includes Annaliese Busse as Rona Lisa Peretti, Ben Herrell as Vice Principal Douglas Panch, Bella Gallagher as Michelle (Mitch) Mahoney, Amari Russell as Olive Ostrovsky, Kaedyn Blede as William Barfee, Aurora Lautzenhiser as Logainne SchwartzandGrubenierre, Addi Kyle as Marcy Park, Mason Rew as Leaf Coneybear, Keegan Hahs as Chip Tolentino, Jordan Kim as Carl Grubenierre, Alex Gawron as Dan Schwartz, Shyanne Hammer Olive’s Mom, and Landon Busse as Olive’s Dad. Also appearing in the show are Addi Kesler, Audrey Kelch, Eliza Martin, and Hailey Chang.
Working behind the scenes are Adam Segura as the director, Stephen Rew as the music director, Dane Schnake as the lighting advisor, and Jayme Overstreet, Todd Schnake, and Pam Schnake as production assistants. Axyl Lynch is the primary choreographer with support from Tatum Branson. The assistant director for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is Axyl Lynch. The stage manager is Landon Younger. The light board operator is Leah Dover. The sound board operator is Ellie McRill. The costume designer is Rachel Burr. The props master is Hailey Feagins. Ace Evans, Quinn Sellami, and Maeve Ecterling are the follow-spot operators.
