Make sure your student's immunizations are up to date for the new school year. This particularly impacts students entering kindergarten, 8th grade, and high school. The Cass County Health Department is offering walk-in clinics July 31 through Aug. 18 for back to school immunizations. You may also obtain the vaccinations at your health care provider. Big news! Retired teachers can return to the classroom without interrupting their monthly pension income! Educators can continue to draw full retirement while earning a full teaching salary and benefits - without retirement contributions! We are looking for retired teachers to join the Ray-Pec School District for 2023-24, as well as special education teachers and more! The School Board on Thursday night recognized Bethany Woodson-Roth, a special education teacher at Raymore Elementary School, for going above and beyond and being a special influence in a student's life. She is pictured with Board Member Carol Barnes, at right. During the 2014-15 school year (Bethany's first year teaching special education and her first at Ray-Pec), she spent much time helping a student academically and socially. At the end of the year, she promised him that she would attend his high school graduation. Although the student later moved to Tennessee, Bethany kept that promise. In May, she drove to Tennessee to be there as he graduated.

What's New for Raymore Elementary? If you've driven by our school, you'll see lots of work being done and we are so excited! We are receiving a new playground, an overhang will be installed between the car rider doors and the library doors, the above-ground electrical wires on the car rider side by the library and on the playground will be buried underground, new windows throughout the building, and a new RE backlit sign with the address on it will be installed on the front of the building (the wooden sign above the front doors will be removed). These are just a few of the projects that will be completed during this summer's renovation! #raypec
