Congratulations to junior Dulce Dunham, who punched her ticket 🎟️ to the Missouri State Championships in singles! Dulce defeated Lee’s Summit 6-4, 6-4 in the semi-finals to earn the state birth.

The National Honor Society awards a $10 bill each Tuesday to a student that is showing respect and responsibility with no tardies, good grades and no discipline referrals. This has been a fun way to celebrate students each week!!
Last night the School Board recognized Ray-Pec High School Seniors Mackenzey Spiller and Gunnar Poland.
Mackenzey was recognized for her work with the Student Voice Project, which is which is a collaborative effort between the Real World Learning Team at the Kauffman Foundation and Startland and involves students throughout the metro area. She participated in the Student Voice project last year. This year, Mackenzie and a student from Staley High School in North Kansas City are leading the entire project.
Gunnar was recognized for being named the Young Professional of the Month for August 2023 at Cass Career Center. Gunnar is a senior at Ray-Pec High School and is a student in the Advanced Welding Program at CCC. After graduation, Gunnar plans to attend a trade school.

Jostens will be here to meet with Sophomores on September 28th to discuss Class Ring ordering.
The order date for class rings will October 5th and 6th.
Staff Spotlight is back with another episode!
This time around we are highlighting our new Ray-Pec High School principal, Scott Bacon. He served as Deputy Principal last year, learning the ropes from Steven Miller, before taking the reins for the 2023-24 school year. In our conversation Mr. Bacon details his time on the Kansas side, what drew him to Ray-Pec, and his belief that all of our staff have a responsibility to #dreammakers for our students.

Seniors will meet with Jostens in the auditorium on September 20th. They will be giving important information regarding Cap & Gown orders, Senior Graduation Announcements orders, and the timeline of these.
Order date is September 29th during lunch shifts.
