A group of peer leaders from Ray-Pec High School Sources of Strength attended the Peer Leader Roundtable on Jan. 27. They met with other peer leaders in the KC Metro to share stories of hope, health, and strength, as well as brainstorm ideas for school-wide campaigns and ways to raise awareness about the program and overall mental wellness. We are so excited to continue to grow Sources of Strength at Ray-Pec!



Congratulations to former Ray-Pec High School baseball coach Gary Renshaw, for being inducted into the Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame on Jan. 21 at the annual coaches association meeting in Jefferson City. He had an overall record of 333-312; with five conference Championships; six District Championships; and three Elite 8 appearances.

Congratulations to the Ray-Pec High School boys basketball team. The Panthers brought home the 3rd place trophy in the Carthage tournament by defeating Webb City 59-28. Ashton Jermain and Elijah Watts were named to the all-tourney team.

Junior Ashlyn Smith was named KC runner of the year and Jay Johnson was named the KC Metro Coach of the Year at the KC All-Metro Awards ceremony this weekend!
Avery Raymond and Ashlyn Smith were named First Team All-Metro. Alexis Borum, Brooke Stephenson, and Isabel Chatfield were named Honorable Mention All-Metro.
For the boys, Carter Younger, Derek Nissen, Andres Kemper, Gabe Voelker, and Blake Borum were named Honorable Mention All-Metro. Boys Head Coach Jamin Swift was also a nominee for Coach of the Year.

Don't forget to support our staff at the Ray-Pec faculty game against Belton on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at Ray-Pec High School. The women’s game starts at 6:30 p.m., and the men’s game is after the women’s game. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults. No passes allowed.
