The District’s annual Physical Night is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, at Ray-Pec South Middle School. This is an opportunity for students who plan to participate in athletics and other activities to obtain the required pre-participation physical exam. The exams are good for two years. (As always, you may choose to have the exam conducted at the healthcare provider of your choosing.)
To attend the Ray-Pec Physical Night, please park in the east parking lot at South Middle School and enter through the cafeteria doors. Here's the link to sign-up for physical night. Physicals are $20.
Wonder what happens during physical night? There will be eight stations:
- Check-in: Complete history and physical – Here's the form to download and print.
- Height/weight measure
- Blood pressure check
- Orthopedic check performed by an athletic trainer, physical therapist, or orthopedic surgeon.
- Physical to be performed by doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
- Scan station – copy of physical is scanned to recipient
- A. Student completes ImPACT (Concussion Assessment Tool) baseline test. B. Parent/Guardian completes the activity physical.
- Check-out
All athletes are welcome. We strongly encourage all 7th, 9th and 11th grade athletes to attend. Following this pattern of participation helps ensure that athletes have physicals and documentation needed to participate throughout their Ray-Pec career. Incoming freshmen athletes who participate in Physical Night will only need to return for physical night prior to their junior year for their high school athletic career.
