🌟 Happy National Custodian's Day! 🧹🪣
Today, we want to take a moment to celebrate the unsung heroes who keep our schools clean and safe. 💪🧽
Behind the scenes, custodians work tirelessly to ensure we have a clean and pleasant environment to learn, work, and thrive in. They are the ones who make sure our spaces sparkle and shine, even when we're not looking. ✨
To all of our custodians, we are incredibly grateful for all that you do. 🙌❤️ #NationalCustodiansDay #ThankACustodian

The Shull pollinator garden is thriving under the care of Ms. Susanne.. Recently, Mrs. Thomas and her class were able to watch a Monarch butterfly as it made it's first appearance. We noticed the butterfly was orange and black, it had black antenna, and it's wings liked to open and close. When it was on the flower, it was trying to drink the nectar. We also watered the plants outside and looked for bees, bugs, and caterpillars. Ask your child about the butterflies!

We kicked off the 2023-24 school year with a bang this morning! 💥 All Ray-Pec staff filled the high school gym for convocation and to celebrate the beginning of another wonderful school year.
"This morning, our celebration is all about the dreams of our students. Students are coming to us wanting to have a successful and meaningful life. That’s our mission. And that’s their dream. It is our job to make that dream possible. All of us, and I mean anyone in this room employed or in an elected leadership role of the Ray-Pec School District, has the duty to deliver on or support the mission of our school district. Everyone. Our theme for this year is that we are all 'Dreammakers.'"
At the end of the ceremony Superintendent, Dr. Mike Slagle, asked all staff who were committed to being "Dreammakers" for students to stand. What a scene. 🖤💛

Make sure your student's immunizations are up to date for the new school year. This particularly impacts students entering kindergarten, 8th grade, and high school.
The Cass County Health Department is offering walk-in clinics July 31 through Aug. 18 for back to school immunizations. You may also obtain the vaccinations at your health care provider.
