Just a reminder, we are wrapping up our time for you to share your fun photos for the yearbook. (Deadline April 10) I know many took pictures at the classroom parties last week!
We are looking for pictures of events that happened from last spring until now! Luckily we have been able to participate in more school wide activities in the past year! You can snap a picture of the QR code, or go directly to this link: https://www.yearbooksspm.com/t... to upload your pictures. The deadline to submit pictures is Monday, April 10. This is the Monday after Easter. We are still on our spring break at that time, but you have a little over a month to share those pictures with us! Thank you, as always!

The district has compiled a list of answers to some frequently asked questions. Those FAQs can be found: https://www.raypec.org/o/rpsd/page/prop-rp-1-faqs
One question from those FAQs is this: Why does the ballot language reference an increase?
The answer is this: When the debt service levy transfer question appears on the ballot, the District is asking voters: Can we shift existing tax contributions from one levy to the other, without changing the overall tax rate? The April ballot reflects the District's intention to increase the operating tax levy by 50 cents over three years and decrease the debt service tax levy by the same amount over three years to accomplish no net impact on the overall tax levy.
We hope you will be able to take a look at the other FAQs to provide you with information about this election.

Next week is Read Across America Week. To celebrate, we will have some special dress up days! Take a look!

Classes will be canceled Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023, in order to allow our students, staff and community to participate in the city-wide celebration for our Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs. The make-up day for Feb. 15 will be on Monday, March 20, which was formerly a non-attendance day for students. The last day of school will remain unchanged.

As you may have heard, our CAN Pantry is low on food. To help with this, a fantastic group of English 4 DRIVE students from the high school have created a district-wide food drive. Students will take their food to their classroom to be counted! Thank you in advance for your help!
