Fourth graders enjoyed a virtual field trip with the Kansas City Zoo. Zookeeprs shared videos of zoo animals and learned more about their adaptations that help them survive. Students have been learning about animal adaptations in their science unit.
Kindergarten students are researching animals to write about what living things need.
In science, kindergarten students have been learning about living things and their needs and impacts. Today students worked on the end of unit project to create a toy or game out of recycled materials to lessen our impact.
Thanks to our families for an amazing book fair! Thank you for your support in making our fall fair such a success! We sold over $8,000 worth of books which provided our school with $1900 to spend on books for students.

Our local Optimist Club delivered a dictionary to each 3rd grade student today! This is part of "The Dictionary Project" our local unit has participated in since 2008. We appreciate the opportunity to provide every student with their very own dictionary! Thank you!

Construction continues throughout the school! A new playground is coming soon. New rooftop units are being installed, and interior work continues throughout the building. Thanks to the Ray-Pec community for approving the Prop S bond issue in April 2021 to fund improvements.
