Due to the severe winter weather conditions, there will be no school on Monday, Jan. 6, 2025.
This will be a traditional inclement weather day and no virtual learning classes will be held.
This is a significant storm that will take time to clear and make roadways and walkways passable. Our goal is to have students back in our buildings as soon as we can, but we realize that the timing and severity of this storm presents us with challenges. Our Ray-Pec building and grounds crews will continue to work with our cities’ and county public works departments and our bus transportation provider to bring us back to workable conditions as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.
A decision as to how to make up today’s inclement weather day will be made later in the school year.
Activities
All elementary school, middle school, and high school after-school activities and evening events will be canceled and/or rescheduled.
Child Care
BOOST (Best Out of School Time) is the program that provides before- and after-school care. BOOST will be closed on Monday, Jan. 6.

More than 100 juniors and seniors from Ray-Pec High School serve as A+ tutors throughout our district. Here are pictures of some of them working with other students in our district! #Herewego

Today's Staff Spotlight focuses on Ashley Gatlin, one of Raymore Elementary School's first-grade teachers. In this candid conversation, Ashley shares her story about being a teacher in this district and her recent battle with cancer. At a time of year when we pause to reflect on the things we are thankful for, Ashley's story emphasizes not taking life for granted. 🖤🤍

The Third-Grade classes at RE honored Veterans Day with a heartfelt program yesterday evening. Students sang patriotic songs and shared inspirational quotes, while a PowerPoint presentation celebrated pictures of US Veterans submitted by RE families and staff. Student artwork was on display in the hallway and flags were displayed outside embodying the spirit of gratitude and pride for those who have served patriotic decorations. #Veterens #raypec

Exciting learning in Mrs. Gatlin's first-grade class! 🌟 In the first unit of MyView, students explored what it means to be part of a community/neighborhood. For their Unit 6 project, they had the choice to create a poster or dress up as their favorite community helper for a presentation. 🎉 The kids did an amazing job sharing their knowledge about these important helpers! 👏 #CommunityHelpers #FirstGradeFun #LearningInAction #RayPec #forwardand better

Third graders in Ms. Mason’s class celebrated Snack Election Day! They wrote persuasive essays, campaigned, and held a lively debate about popcorn versus cheese balls. The results are in…. cheese balls win! #raypec
