During Week 2 of Summer School, students in Jolie Quinn's classroom "traveled" to a hot air balloon festival, investigated gravity by building various paper airplanes, and explored states of matter by conducting a self-inflating balloon experiment. The students even designed and created their own hot air balloons for the festival! All students investigated, explored, discussed, and evaluated their experiments/designs. They spent a lot of time re-doing the design process to improve and test different outcomes of the experiment.
